LotCaliper Pro — Early access

Test & lab auction diligence for recurring acquisition decisions.

Public analyses are available now as individually prepared snapshots. Pro is planned to monitor GSA Auctions for suitable opportunities and apply the same exact-lot diligence to each acquisition decision.

The recurring workflow

Spend less time finding lots. Keep control of the bid.

Today: repeat the research for each lot

Search auctions, identify the equipment and configuration, find comparable evidence, estimate costs and risks, then calculate a bid ceiling.

Planned with Pro: start from a screened opportunity

Suitable GSA test & lab lots would be screened and surfaced with an alert and evidence-first diligence. A risk-adjusted maximum bid would appear only when the evidence supports one.

You still verify the live source listing, auction terms, and your own costs before bidding. Public analyses are individually prepared snapshots today; recurring delivery, alert method, buyer preferences, and scan cadence are not yet available or guaranteed.

Why specialist diligence

The diligence starts where auction search stops.

Search tools can surface a lot. LotCaliper is planned to resolve what a reseller is actually buying and underwrite what can go wrong before capital is committed.

Search finds a listing

GSA search and auction aggregators are useful for discovery. They do not establish whether the title matches the actual modules, options, accessories, and quantity.

Past prices need context

A realized sale or dealer ask is useful only when model, configuration, condition, completeness, timing, and price type are genuinely comparable.

One assumption can erase margin

A missing module, software dependency, freight surprise, or repair reserve can outweigh months of the planned $99 price. The purpose is better bid discipline—not guaranteed profit.

Inspect the diligence before judging the subscription.

Each public snapshot exposes exact identity and configuration, condition and completeness, comparable-market evidence, freight, fees, testing and repair reserves, downside, required return, and a risk-adjusted maximum bid when the evidence supports one.

Questions about LotCaliper

Is LotCaliper available yet?

The analysis experience is available now. The recurring Pro monitoring product is currently in early access.

Does requesting access start a subscription?

No. Requesting access does not start billing or create a payment obligation.

Where will paid Pro initially be available?

Initial paid Pro availability is planned for customers in the United States purchasing primarily for business or professional purposes. This can include companies, sole proprietors, and natural-person or part-time professional resellers. Public analyses remain available independently of paid-Pro eligibility.

Why not just use GSA search or an auction aggregator?

Those tools are useful for discovering listings and reviewing basic auction data. LotCaliper's planned value begins after discovery: resolving the exact lot, checking completeness and evidence quality, modeling downside, and setting a risk-adjusted maximum bid.

Why not use past auction prices directly?

A past price can reflect a different configuration, condition, software state, accessory set, sale date, or price type. LotCaliper qualifies those differences before using evidence in an acquisition decision.

What is Pro planned to do?

Pro is planned to monitor GSA Auctions for suitable test and laboratory equipment opportunities and apply the public diligence framework: exact identity and configuration, condition and completeness, comparable evidence, costs, downside, required return, and risk-adjusted maximum bids.

Are auction prices live?

No. Every analysis preserves the price and status recorded at its displayed observation time. Analysis snapshots carry a stale-data warning when open at observation and show Historical after their scheduled close.
